Long run/walk with Sandy on the levee. it was wonderful to have a long time to catch up and cover lots of topics. It was also a good idea to put in walk breaks (2:30 run, 0:30 walk). It was not lovely to run on the levee. My legs do not do well with long runs on even, hard surfaces. Quads were complaining near the end, and quite tired when I got home. But at this time of year, all the trails are too wet, so the levee or gravel roads are the best option.

Dashed out to the Overlook to try to beat the rain. Storms were predicted within the hour, so I went out in 15 min segments, in case I had to run back to the car. Light mist the whole way, but no thunderstorms. I ran some segments, but did a lot of walking due to tired legs and getting back into shape. I'm glad I got onto the trails today, because rain is expected the next few days and the trails will turn to goop.
