Short O at the Overlook. This was an experiment and I learned a lot.

Good: tested my Achilles, which feels perfectly normal.
Needs work: fitness. I wanted to be out around 60 minutes, but couldn't do it.
Fail: orienteering. You would think it was my first time. Confused on trails, forgot to look at my compass, not reading ahead. Whew, I'm out of practice here.
Fail: the O pants I was wearing are old and the elastic is going. Once they got wet (and heavy) in the rain, I had to run with one hand holding them up :)

Note

No training but an exhausting emotional day. We finally buried mom’s ashes next to Dad at Arlington. Followed by a great lunch to celebrate the great lady. Lots of crying and laughing, tons of talking to cousins and siblings.

Note

Took the water taxi over to DC. Mike, Susan, Patrick and Laurie went to National Gallery again but I wanted an adventure. So I rented a scooter and went to Washington and Lincoln monuments. The scooter was really fun!
