Orienteering (Summer Series) 39:37 [3]
shoes: Brooks Adrenaline

What a struggle this was...down to a culmination of a shin flare up, exhausting heat, and good course setting.

For some reason my shins felt sore straight away, from then on i knew it was going to be a bad run. It took me 6 minutes to get to the 1st control because my heart wasn't in it. Motivation is low now. I somewhat gave up and started walking to the last control but only ran again to try to finish under 40 minutes.

More icing and massaging and stretching after the event. At least i can still ride a bike.

Cycle (Road) 1:04:03 [1] 19.6 km (3:16 / km)

A very casual ride with the girlfriend into work. Educational, nothing more. I was 'pushing' her to go up from 19k/hr to 22k/hr. It worked to loosen my muscles if anything.

Cycle (Road) 1:00:00 [1] 16.0 km (3:45 / km)

Same deal as this morning, but very hot.

Ripstik (Core / Cardio) 1:22:03 [4]

New wheels haven't arrived yet so i attached a reasonably preserved one off my old pair of rollerblades.

Went along the coastal strip from north beach, past trigg and back. Had alot of foot pain in the first 10 minutes. The rest of the way though, i was getting used to it and was able to lift the intensity. Now i can ride up hills. Had a stack and will get a nasty bruise on my hip but cycle gloves stopped me from bleeding.

After the coast i went to the skatepark in carine and was making progress in the bowl. Loving this, might go again tomorrow.

Note
(injured)

Calf strengthening exercises, massaging. Exercising on the wobble disc was alot easier than usual after the ripstik session this morning.
