Running (Beach) 28:53 [3] 4.5 km (6:25 / km)
shoes: Brooks Beast

Trigg island to brighton and back. Easier than the summer, now that the sand is mostly wet. Still gave me a blister on my big toe though and no doubt my calves will be sore tomorrow. An enjoyable run, good getting back on the beach. No shin pain.

Ripstik 33:37 [3]

Along the coast from north beach to scarborough. On the way back it started to rain and i was slipping out. Took shelter under an underpass. After that, the surfaces were all wet and that was the end of it. Still quite a walk back to the car.

Walking 26:00 [1]

Had to walk back to the car to avoid slipping out on the wet path. About half way back it started raining again, no shelter this time and i got soaked!

Weights (Core) 15:00 [3]

3 exercises, 4 sets each.

Weights (Upper) 40:00 [3]

Chest 4 exercises, 4 sets.
Shoulders 3 exercises, 4 sets.

Ripstik (Park) 20:00 [2]

Didn't manage to get much in before the rain came.

Note
slept:7.0

Was going to go for Ripstik but was raining.

Running tempo (Fartlek) 33:27 [3] 7.0 km (4:47 / km)
ahr:154 max:175 shoes: Brooks Adrenaline

I decided it was about time to teach my body how to run at varied speeds again. I put on my brightest headlamp (only headlamp actually) and ran Karrinyup golf course. 5 mild surges up the hills at 60-70%, the rest at 30-40%. Should aim do one of these once a fortnight now.
Surge 1 - 2.18min
Surge 2 - 0.52min
Surge 3 - 1.37min
Surge 4 - 2.11min
Surge 5 - 2.32min

Note

Calf massages.

Cycle (Road) 32:23 [3] 13.6 km (2:23 / km)

Put in a decent effort this morning. Unfortunately i went the herdsman lake way, and had lots of interruptions with traffic and pedestrians. Hard to get a rhythm going.

Cycle (Ride Home) 26:26 [4] 12.5 km (2:07 / km)

Had an interruption of a different kind this avo. Tyre was flat when i left work, so pumped it up and hoped i'd make it home. Popped it around the corner and spent 12 minutes changing the tube. By that time daylight had almost faded and i was in a rush to get home. A good reminder to take my lights for my next weekday ride.

Note

Calf massages.

Ripstik (Core / Cardio) 25:17 [2]
ahr:128

Carine skate park. Took about 10 minutes for my shoes to dry after walking across the grass. So was taking it cautious.

Running (Kings Park short loop) 31:29 [3] 6.0 km (5:15 / km)
shoes: Brooks Adrenaline

Just tried to sneak a quick run in after work.

Weights (Core Stability / Cardio) 15:00 [2]

2 exercises, 4 sets.

Cycle (Ride to Work) 30:52 [2] 12.5 km (2:28 / km)

Very slack morning ride. Had a big weekend with a wedding on, and am still feeling the effects of that.

Cycle (Ride home) 28:45 [3] 12.5 km (2:18 / km)

Cruisey ride home. Still couldn't put in much of an effort. Definitely got a 2 day hangover, first signs of getting older. I realised this evening that i picked up the wrong jacket from saturday night too, which says something about the state i was in.
