Running (trail) 2:30:00 [3] 8.0 mi (18:45 / mi) +4501ft 12:14 / mi

First section of GW II

running along the base of the mountains on the south side of the columbia. One out and back to a cool falls then another out and back to a mtn top. the trail to the mtn top wasn't on the map and prerace there was some discussion from Dave about up and over the ridge. the next CP was down in the valley just on the other side of the hill. On the map, there appeared to be cliffs but we thought that we could work around them. since it was the most direct route we went for it.

Completely cliffed out at the bottom. We could see the control but there was a 200ft cliff band that we could find a way around and it was real sketchy. We found some old ropes and worked our way down a crack. Real sketchy... We worked together and got it done. Figured we wasted 2hrs. found out later that he intended it to be an out and back.

Kayaking (sea kayak) 2:15:00 [3] 11.0 mi (12:16 / mi)

cool paddle on the columbia river. Second GW section

Running (trail) 1:30:00 [3] 4.0 mi (22:30 / mi) +1201ft 17:31 / mi

treking loops durning the paddle

see below for gps track. Lost signal during the first section in the valley.
