Orienteering 1:20:00 [3] 4.0 mi (20:00 / mi)
shoes: Salomon Speedcross 3

Training with Dennis at Annadel State park. Did first 9 controla of the 2014 Green Course. Forgot to bring my GPS so no timing. After not Orienteering for over a month this was a big jump back into the pool. It was more of a challenge to do this course without control markers. On several controls I had to guess that I was actually at the feature, Not a confidence builder but at least some map reading before heading for Mt Pinos next weekend.

Running race 1:00:00 [3] 2.0 mi (30:00 / mi)
shoes: Salomon X-Scream

It was a great day at the Transplant Games in Cleveland. I am quite sore but think I came through without a significant injury. Won two silver and a bronze.

I started the day with a third place in the 800m. (3:54). This was more than 20 seconds better than I ran a few weeks ago in a time trial.

The 400m silver was a surprise. (1:37) 8 seconds faster than my previous 400 earlier in the year.

Got a 4th place in the 1500. Converted the 8:55 is about 7 secs slower than the 9:27 mile I did last year. But by this time I was getting tired and I was just glad to run the entire distance.

I was then approached by the Norcal team Manager to run the first leg of the mixed 4x400m relay. Ran a steady 1:52, although far behind the 13 year old girl, who led off for the Ohio team, the only other team in the race. (The Ohio team anchor was a former 47sec 400m guy.)

Leslie & I are enjoying Cleveland. Went to the Rock and Roll Museum which was fun. The 4th street area is quite cool with some great restaurants.
