A 5K race in Walnut Creek for the transplant charity Donate Life. I hesitated to run this because it was all on hard surfaces. Turns out the race was a bit short of 5K by about 400 m . I ran a nice steady pace and was saving for a kick at the end but the end came too quickly. Right calf tightened up during the run as feared. Hope it can work out in the next few days before the East Coast races.
