Sunday Apr 22

Mapping 2:00:00 [1]4.0 mi (30:00 / mi)
shoes: Saucony Grid Excursion TR
Traveled to SUNY Fredonia to see our son, Greg's, Latin jazz concert. Left plenty early and stopped at Chestnut Ridge, south of Orchard Park, to finish up the field work on the map updates. Believe I have everything done field-work wise, but won't really know for sure until the OCAD drafting is completed to see if anything fell through the cracks. At most, should be one more day of field checking, at best, no more field checking.

Saturday Apr 21

Running 1:48:00 [3]10.9 mi (9:53 / mi) +160m 5:53 / km
weight:182lbs shoes: Saucony Grid Excursion TR
Longish run with three significant hills. Ran from home, down Bay Rd, to Empire, to Orchard Park, down hill to Irondequoit Bay Park West, and return. With Anne Schwartz.

Friday Apr 20

Mapping 2:00:00 [1]5.0 mi (24:00 / mi) +80m 14:12 / km
shoes: Saucony Grid Excursion TR
Mapping at Dryer Rd Park. My main goal was to check out the relative accuracy of two different maps that purport to show all or most of the mountain biking trails, to see which one (if either) I should be using as a base map.

One of them was, in fact, much more accurate than the other. Unfortunately, the one that was less accurate seems to show all of the trails (although not real accurately!), while the one that is more accurate seems to show maybe half of the trails. Still, I have to go with the accurate one, and work on the missing trails by a lot of time in the field.

Thursday Apr 19

Running (Warmup/cooldown) 22:00 [2]2.44 mi (9:00 / mi)
shoes: Asics Gel Kahana
Running intervals 10:00 [4]1.5 mi (6:40 / mi)
max:152 shoes: Asics Gel Kahana
6x400 on my street, average 1:40. Very slow. Haven't done intervals in ages and it showed.

Wednesday Apr 18

Running 25:30 [1]2.9 mi (8:47 / mi) +40m 5:14 / km
max:130 weight:183lbs shoes: Adidas Yukon Trail
Easy run in Webster Park with the dogs. Feeling tired from two fairly tough workouts in a row. Stuck to the roads for the most part due to extensive water and mud on the trails.

Tuesday Apr 17

Running hills (Treadmill) 40:00 [3]2.62 mi (15:15 / mi) +465m 6:07 / km
max:145 weight:182lbs shoes: Saucony Grid Excursion TR
Treadmill at OCD fitness center. Incline at 11% the whole time. Speed varied from 3.5 to 4.5 mph. Didn't feel all that great, maybe due to a 60-minute treadmill run yesterday that I hadn't totally recovered from.

Monday Apr 16

Running (Treadmill) 1:01:00 [3]6.25 mi (9:45 / mi) +100m 5:47 / km
max:150 weight:181lbs shoes: Asics Gel Kahana
Treadmill workout at OCD fitness center. Pretty much flat (1% incline). Started at 5 mph, gradually ramped up speed to 7.7 mph, then back down a bit for last 8 minutes.
