| Event: ROC - Badgerow Park. O & Sprint |
 | Orienteering race 26:03 [3]*** 2.23 km (11:41 / km) | |
| spiked:12/13c shoes: Saucony Grid Aura TR |
| Badgerow Orienteering Meet, Sprint course. Didn't have any major problems, and was able to maintain a pretty good pace, but my route choices were pretty conservative (took long trail choice instead of more direct through the woods choice, because some of the woods looking a bit menacing). |
 | Orienteering race 13:49 [4]** 1.56 km (8:51 / km) | |
| spiked:11/11c shoes: Saucony Grid Aura TR |
| Badgerow Orienteering Meet. Yellow course, done after the Sprint. Good workout, I felt like I was moving at a good clip most of the way. |

 | Running hills 42:00 [2]4.4 mi (9:32 / mi) +180m 5:16 / km | |
| shoes: Saucony Grid Excursion TR |
| Three repeats up the Glen Edith hill, with a flat loop at the top around the condo complex after each uphill. Put Band-Aid brand Blister Block over the blister on my right foot; seemed to work for a while, but on the third dowhill, I was feeling the blister more and more, so decided to stop at that point rather than risk making the blister worse. Ran with Anne Schwartz (who did at least one more uphill after I quit). |

 | Running 50:00 [3]6.0 mi (8:20 / mi) +0m 5:11 / km | |
| max:150 shoes: Asics Gel Kahana |
| Level run on canal path, from OCD Fitness Center at Canal Ponds, to Manitou Rd, and return (walked last half mile into fitness center).
Approx the third time I've run in these shoes, and this was the longest run in them; developed a blister in the arch area of my right foot, where I'm prone to blisters with certain models of shoes. Plan on wearing these shoes for a few shorter runs before trying anything medium long; also will try Vaseline on the sensitive area of the foot and on the shoe insert. |

 | Running hills (Treadmill) 57:00 [4]4.5 mi (12:39 / mi) +500m 5:51 / km | |
| max:145 weight:181lbs shoes: Saucony Grid Excursion TR |
| Treadmill hill workout at OCD fitness center. Set it on random hills at a fairly high intensity. Incline ranged from 5.5% to 11.3%, averaging around 7% per my best estimate. |
Monday Apr 23 |
 | Running 49:00 [2]5.5 mi (8:54 / mi) | |
| max:140 weight:183.5lbs shoes: Asics Gel Kahana |
| Hojack trail, from Vosbury to Lake, then headed SE to Hard Rd. I think I still haven't fully recovered from the near 11 mile run I did on Saturday (by far my longest this season), as I didn't hae a whole lot of pep.
There was a very muddy section just north of Klem. I chose to bypass this on the way back by taking Klem to VanAlstyne, and VanAlstyne back to the trail. The rest of the trail was in decent shape, although there were a couple of wet areas still, but those areas only got the bottom of my shoes muddy, as opposed to the section north of Klem which got the upper parts quite muddy as well. |
