Running 1:32:40 [1] 7.76 mi (11:56 / mi)
weight:172lbs shoes: Nike Pegasus Trail

Very easy run, with a lot of walking mixed in, on the canal path from Shoen Place heading east. With Sue D., Anne, and Ben (Anne's nephew). Ben turned around at the 2.5 mile mark to give him a 5 mile run. Sue, Anne, and I covered nearly 8 miles but with some significant walking breaks (included in the time and distance) thrown in, to appease Sue. We're trying to get her geared up to attempt a spring marathon or half marathon, but she's nowhere near ready to do any longer, continuous running.

Footing was semi bad on the canal path -- generally not terribly icy except in sections, but slick enough and snowy enough to be a hindrance. Most of our running was at around 10 minutes/mile; Anne commented that it felt like the effort of running 9:15/mile which I agreed with.

Running hills 1:03:00 [3] 5.3 mi (11:53 / mi) +1575ft 9:17 / mi
weight:174lbs shoes: Asics Gel Kahana 10-07 - screw

Workout at the Bayview Y as Anne's guest, since it wasn't exactly the most pleasant day to be running outside. Did a hill workout for a bit more than an hour. Incline ranged from 4% to 7.5%, nothing terribly steep, but steep enough to keep me to a fast walk or slow run. Felt pretty bad; came down with a cold yesterday, and didn't have much energy today.

Running tempo 32:50 [4] 4.05 mi (8:06 / mi) +98ft 7:55 / mi
weight:175.5lbs shoes: Nike Pegasus Trail

Morning run on the Hojack Trail from Klem Rd to Lake Rd and back, with the dogs in tow. I was making a real effort to push the pace, although the actual pace I was running wasn't terribly impressive. I don't know if that had something to do with the footing (snow covered trail, but really not bad), or just that I haven't run very hard for a while, as I've been focusing more on longer runs. Whatever the reason, I felt like I was working harder than the pace said I was.

Running long 1:34:00 [1] 10.0 mi (9:24 / mi)
weight:173lbs shoes: Nike Pegasus Trail

2nd run of the day. I hadn't done a real run since last Wed., and this Wed. which is my normal long-run day looks to be pretty bad weather-wise. So I decided to take advantage of the nice weather today and do an AM and a PM run. The PM one was with Anne, from my house, out the Rt. 104 bike path to 250, a small loop N. on 250 to Orchard to Holt and back to Rt. 104, and back to my house.
