Running 24:20 [1] 2.73 mi (8:55 / mi)
max:135 weight:175lbs shoes: Screw shoes Asics Kahana 2 Mar

Run with Homer. From home, to Finn Park, through field, stopped to let Homer swim in the creek and get a few drinks, then continued through the field to Gravel. Gravel to Rt 104 to Maple and back home. A couple of relatively short walking breaks thrown in, not counted in distance or time.

The chiro (Dr. Reinhardt) said the hamstring pull isn't particularly severe, and shouldn't take long to recover from, but that I was definitely doing the right thing to lay off running for a while, rather than pushing through it. He suggested trying to do short, slow runs every other day for a while and keep a close eye on how things feel.

Running (Run/walk mix) 34:00 [1] 3.2 mi (10:37 / mi)
weight:176.5lbs shoes: Asics Gel Nimbus 10

First running since Cobbs Hill O meet about 10 days ago. Trying to give my right hamstring some rest to see if moderate rest would make the problem go away. Tried running a little today to both check it out to see if there has been progress, and also because I have an appt with a chiro in Webster highly recommended by Larry Zygo, as a person very experienced with running-related problems (and his expertise and treatment options are said to go well beyond what a typical chiro would know/do). I figure if today's run didn't aggravate my problem, that's good news, obviously. If it did, then the visit with the chiro tomorrow might be more productive if it's actually bothering me at the moment.

Leg felt fine during the run, but that doesn't mean a whole lot. The past couple of times, it hasn't bothered me until that evening or the next morning.

Took the dog Homer with me, to try to get him into some sort of running shape. He did OK but seemed to enjoy the multiple walking breaks I took.

Ran over to Finn Park, then out to Gravel Rd, and back the Rt 104 path to Bay Rd and back to Woodland.

Subtracting out the walking breaks, my running was 2.63 miles at 8:41/mile.

Somewhat dismayed to see my weight. That's what not running for a while will do.
