Pickleball 1:45:00 [2]

Pickleball at the Penfield Rec center (indoors). Only 4 of us were there, but that included Joe and Carole Roth who are both very good, plus one other guy maybe around my level, so we had some very enjoyable games, no matter how we split up the teams.

Pickleball 55:00 [1]

Pickleball with Cheryl, on the outdoor courts at the Webster Rec Center.

We hit around for around 20 minutes, then played a few games. After winning two games against her (not extremely lopsided though), and then being up 8-0 in the 3rd game, she insisted that I start playing left-handed (although she allowed me to serve right handed). She wound up winning 12-10, although I did have a few game points on her, being ahead 10-9 at one point. Playing left-handed is indeed quite the challenge, for a non-ambidextrous person ...

Strength 8:00:00 [3]

More physical labor, continuing to work on (and, thankfully, finish) the deck project. Whew ... glad that's over and I'm glad I don't do this type of work for a living. I sure wouldn't have any energy left over to do any running, orienteering, mapping, etc. But it was enjoyable in a way, and it paid well, so I really shouldn't complain.

An early morning purchase of knee pads at Home Depot, while I was picking up a couple of supplies we were running low on, made the work much more pleasant.

Strength 6:00:00 [3]

Fairly brutal manual labor most of the day today. I was asked yesterday by a long time acquaintance if I could help him with this deck project that he had been hired to do by someone. The hourly pay was very good so it was tough to turn down. But the work was very grueling. I'm sure my kneecaps and my back will be quite sore from today, and also tomorrow, as we're going to be putting in another fairly full day on this project. I'm definitely not in shape for this type of exertion, either that or I'm just to dang old to be doing this work.

Pickleball 45:00 [2]

Monday night pickleball group at Webster Rec center. It's supposed to be 1.5 hours but I got there a bit late and readily volunteered to sit out my share of games (we had 6 players, and since doubles is almost always the game played, 2 people were sitting out each game). Had fun but didn't want to over-exert myself after over-exerting myself during the day today.
