Pickleball 1:15:00 [1]

Outdoor pickleball, on a rather confusing morning. First we were going to play at Webster Park, but since it rained, the courts were wet. Then our ringleader got information that said that the indoor courts at the rec center were available essentially all day, so we decided to play indoors. Then we found out that, oops, the indoor courts weren't available until at least 10:00 and possibly not even then, so we decided on the outdoor courts at the rec center. We played for around 15 minutes when we got kicked off by a group of lady tennis players who had the courts reserved at 9:00. So, back to the original plan of Webster Park. Some puddles needed to be removed, and it was way windier than I like, but we had some good games. 7 people in all.

Note

2 hours of painting. Finished painting the house siding, which meant I was able to remove the extension ladder from the garage, which I suspect the tenants will definitely appreciate.

Mapping 37:07 [1] 1.64 mi (22:38 / mi) +196ft 20:20 / mi

I had a very small amount of time, and I needed to go over to Irondequoit anyway, so I did a map walk with my current draft of the map to just make mental notes of where the map was OK (many places) and where it needed more attention (a number of other places).

Pickleball 1:30:00 [1]

Outdoor pickleball at Webster Park, with Jayne, Liz, and trailsnail.

Way windier than I like.
10 AM

Note

1.5 hours of house painting at the rental house on Marion Street. Working on the garage trim. Garage looks way better than before I did today's painting, I have to say. It will definitely need a second coat. Plus, all I did was the trim that's the most visible (the trim facing the road). Still, it's nice to see how the trim, in a contrasting color to the siding, makes things look so much better.

Walk/run 47:15 [3] 3.16 mi (14:58 / mi) +255ft 13:54 / mi
shoes: Montrail Mt Masochist Mar 2011

Pre-"running" the 5K Trail Challenge course designed by Tyler. "Running" is a bit of a misnomer, as I didn't run whenever I was moving uphill, when the trail was technical, when the trail was going steeply downhill, or when I was tired and didn't have the energy. Plus, I was streamering most of the control points I got to, so there was some time spent just standing and streamering. Still, for my current level of fitness, it was a good workout.

Mapping 11:25 [1] 0.45 mi (25:23 / mi) +5ft 25:07 / mi
shoes: Montrail Mt Masochist Mar 2011

Walking an indistinct trail that I didn't have on the map, and which I observed while pre-running the 5K course.

Walking (Dog walk) 48:15 [1] 2.39 mi (20:13 / mi) +158ft 19:02 / mi
shoes: Montrail Mt Masochist Mar 2011

Walk through Vosburg Hollow and on the Hojack Trail with Cheryl and Homer. Several creek dips for Homer.

Walking (Dog walk) 35:14 [1] 1.98 mi (17:50 / mi) +67ft 17:17 / mi

Late-evening dog walk. Temperature was around 84 at our house, but it was very windy (gusts up to 33 mph according the the airport weather report) so that made it tolerable. Actually less comfortable back in our non-air-conditioned house than out on the walk.
