Pickleball 2:00:00 [2]

Again at the Rec Center. My play was, as usual, very spotty. And my heel, which I thought was quite a bit better than yesterday, definitely got worse during play. So I probably need to take a couple of days off ...

Pickleball 2:00:00 [2]

Webster Rec Center. Four courts, around 20 people total, lots of good games.

I seemed to have done something to my left heel, in about the 3rd game I played, like pulled something. Hopefully it is nothing serious.

Walking (Dog walk) 1:28:47 [1] 4.45 mi (19:58 / mi) +331ft 18:39 / mi
shoes: Hiking boots

Yet another somewhat urban walk with Homer, less urban than the previous two because a lot of it was in Cobb's Hill. The weather was less pleasant that yesterday, which in turn was less pleasant the Wednesday, but really not all that bad -- light, wet snow was falling, temp was mid 30's, and there wasn't much wind.

Another urban walk with Homer, again working on "course setting" for the Rochester Map Adventure. Colder than yesterday but tolerable.

Urban walk with Homer, checking out possible control points for the next Rochester Map Adventure. Homer hadn't done any significant city walks before today, so I was wondering how he'd react to it, although I wasn't terribly concerned. Sure enough, he was fine. At one point, there was an ambulance coming down East Ave past where we were walking, with its siren on very loud. He wasn't the least bit phased, in fact didn't even look up from whatever smell it was he was sniffing on the grass.

Finding control points isn't easy, I'm finding, especially if the objective is to make them at least a little bit interesting. Trivial and non-interesting questions, like "What color are the shutters at house #357", are easy to come by but I'd rather use those only if nothing else can be found. I did manage to find a few moderately OK ones, so the day was somewhat productive. If nothing else, it was a decent morning for a walk; sunny, mid to upper 30's, and not all that windy, at the time I was out.
