Pickleball 1:00:00 [2]
shoes: Brooks Ghost 5

Rec Center. Very diverse level of play ... I had a few enjoyable games and a number of others that weren't very competitive due mainly to three totally new players being in the mix.

There were also a lot of people there -- 3 courts going, with 6 people sitting out much of the time. I spent a LONG time sitting out in one stretch of time.

Walking (Dog walk) 44:47 [1] 2.27 mi (19:44 / mi) +8ft 19:40 / mi
shoes: Salomon hiking boots

Another walk over to Finn Park with Homer. He had the pleasure of encountering 3 other dogs -- a golden retriever on Heathland who I didn't think he had met before (but Cheryl later told me he had, when he was with her), the dog Sam (guess they call him Sammy) in Finn Park, same dog he met a few days ago; and Daisy, a dog from our street who gets along well with Homer (and Daisy gets along poorly with every other dog in the neighborhood). All encounters went well.

Dog encounters can be easily identified on the GPS track when the speed goes to essentially zero for a while ...

Homer wasn't about to let a snowstorm, cold weather, and some wind get in the way of his walk, and I wasn't either -- so we headed over to Finn Park. Once on the trail, we both realized we were on a fairly fresh track of another person and another dog. Homer got quite energized as we appeared to be gaining on them. They did the same loop that we did so we didn't cross paths until back at the parking lot. The other human (a lady) and other dog parked in the lot to do their walk. The dog looked to be a fairly large mixed breed, short hair, kind of like a very stocky boxer but not quite. He was on a long leash, and headed over to check Homer out. She apologized but added that her dog was friendly; I said that Homer was also. (I wouldn't have been able to make such a statement even a year ago -- his social skills with other dogs have improved dramatically recently.) So the dogs enjoyed greeting each other, with both tails wagging high and no sign of aggression from either one. Found out the other dog's name was Sam.

Neglected to stop my GPS when I got home, so it was on while I was snowblowing the driveway. Subtracted the time and distance.

Treadmill workout, walking. 6% incline. Got my pulse rate up slightly at least (to just above 100).
