With Hanna only. Brisk walk, 2nd mile in under 16 minutes, partly because I was a bit on the chilly side.

Walking (Dog walk) 49:33 [1] 2.97 mi (16:40 / mi) +8ft 16:38 / mi
shoes: Asics Gel Venture 3

Hanna only. My right hand is wrapped up pretty well and thus sufficiently incapacitated that I can't really take both dogs at this time. So Homer and Cheryl took their own, more lame (1 mile) walk.

Walking (Dog walk) 54:47 [1] 2.91 mi (18:51 / mi) +7ft 18:49 / mi
shoes: Asics Gel Venture 4

Walk with Hanna and Homer, on an OK but damp day (40 degrees, a bit of a mist in the air at times, not too windy).

Wanted to get them out for a semi long walk since they'll be feeling a bit neglected this afternoon, as I have to go in for another surgery -- carpal tunnel, on my right hand. A nerve problem persists from my fall off of the ladder in early Sept., and my surgeon feels it is likely carpal tunnel related. This is considered very minor surgery, but I can relate to a comment that PG had recently (I'm paraphrasing): "Minor surgery" is typically considered surgery happening to someone else.

The prospect of my hand being cut open, even in a minor fashion, doesn't really seem that minor to me ...
10 PM

Note

Surgery seemed to go OK. It was delayed an hour due to the surgeon's schedule which meant lying on the bed with tubes and wires connected to me for longer than I would have liked, but no big deal in the whole scheme of things. Nerve block has worn off and the discomfort is only slight (of course, without the pain pills it may be more than a slight discomfort). Have reasonable movement in the fingers. Too soon to determine if it fixed the nerve issue.
