Pickleball 2:00:00 [3]

Skipped church because choir was canceled and the pastor was out of town. Cheryl and I both played pickleball. 14 people on 3 courts meant minimal sitting out time. Had a wide range of abilities, which meant some games were less than total fun, but other games were great. All in all, a nice pickleball session. Cheryl and I even partnered a couple of times and won games that we didn't think we should win -- like against Joann E. and Nancy Swank in one game (we won something like 11-6), and then against two real young guys, one of whom is quite decent, the other one who has lots of potential but it was only his 2nd time playing (but he was pretty impressive for only two times out).

Walking (Dog walk) 1:07:28 [1] 3.38 mi (19:58 / mi) +6ft 19:56 / mi
shoes: Salomon hiking boots

Tried walking on the Rt 104 path, from Maple going east. For a while, it wasn't too bad -- enough snowmobile tracks that I was only sinking in an inch or a little less. But for some reason, it became softer, where I was sinking in more like 2 inches, which made the walking just enough less pleasant that I turned around after a bit of that.

Downhill skiing 1:30:00 [3]

Skiing at Bristol with trailsnail. Quite good conditions, and very nice weather; sunny for the first couple of hours. Not too crowded for the first hour, but crowds built up by late morning. Still, the only significant line was on the Comet lift, and that was 4 minutes one time and 8 minutes another time (when there were lots of ski school classes who had priority over us peons). Galaxy express quad generally had a 30 second to 2 minute line. Rocket triple had zero lift line ever, but it also takes about 8 minutes to get to the top vs 4 minutes for the Comet lift.

The slopes overall were not annoyingly crowded, so the skiing experience was extremely good.

Pickleball 1:00:00 [3]

Ladder league, subbing for Diane Martin. Played right-handed. The others in my foursome were Richard, Sue, and Chris (the young guy). Games went: Richard and I beat Sue and Chris 11-5; Richard and Chris beat Sue and me 11-8; and Chris and I beat Sue and Richard 11-1. So I wound up with 30 points; Chris with 27; Richard with 23; and Sue with 14.
