We were down in the Ohiopyle, PA area this weekend, visiting our daughter and her boyfriend. We went on multiple, fairly short, hikes while there, and did the 1-hour cave tour of Laurel Caverns. No GPS brought along on the trip (not that it would have done any good in the cave, of course) so no details on any of the hikes.
One of the highlights was doing a walk on the extensive trail system (more than 20 miles) at Bear Run Nature Reserve

This is almost directly across the road from Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater. In fact the Fallingwater property is surrounded by the nature reserve property.
The main highlight is that we saw a bear! How cool is that, seeing a bear at a place called Bear Run! Cheryl spotted it, about 50 yards up the trail, and pointed it out to Andrea and me. We got a good look at it, before it spotted us and ran away. It seems medium sized, possibly around 250 pounds.
Bear Run looks to me like it would make a great orienteering venue. Lots of land (5000 acres, or 20 sq km, about the size of Rattlesnake Hill, and double the size of Mendon), good trail system, mostly open woods with a few sections of thicker vegetation like rhododendrons, contour features, and in places, some nice rock features (large boulders, mainly). The land is managed by the Western PA Conservancy. I don't know if they would allow orienteering or not, but restrictions on use are much looser than conservancy managed land in NY, it appears. There is nothing in the information sheet that prohibits off trail travel, and they allow camping, hunting and fishing. So maybe they would be open to orienteering. There is a lot of parking available, plenty to stage a meet from.
