Orienteering 39:19 [3] 2.74 mi (14:22 / mi) +271ft 13:08 / mi
shoes: Montrail Mt Masochist Mar 2011

Durand O meet. "Box" style event, where there are 6 controls in each of 3 boxes, and you pick a certain number of controls in each box to do, based on age and gender. At my advanced age, I was allowed to skip 3 controls per box which made the course rather easy navigationally but still a bit of a physical challenge.

Running 24:42 [2] 2.71 mi (9:07 / mi) +2ft 9:07 / mi
shoes: Hoka Mafate Speed

Urban run, after doing some painting at the Marion St house. It was rather disheartening when AP speculated that my activity today was "Walking". In spite of that insult, I feel OK that I've built up from 1 mile, to 1.5, and now to 2.7 miles in just a few days. Trailsnail informed me that there is a 10K in early October that I need to run in. 10K??? That's a LONG distance these days ...

Pickleball 1:30:00 [3]

Webster Rec Center, outdoor courts. Generally enjoyable games.

Running 13:46 [2] 1.52 mi (9:04 / mi)
shoes: Hoka Mafate Speed

Gradually increasing the distance, although still quite anemic ... 1 mile yesterday, 1.5 miles today.

Webster Park. No real exciting or strenuous games.

Running 9:56 [2] 1.03 mi (9:39 / mi) +13ft 9:32 / mi
shoes: Asics Gel Kahana 7

It wasn't much, but I decided I'm going to try to ease my way back into doing a little running again. Maybe just do one mile each outing, for a few runs, and then slowly increase.

Some high quality pickleball happening on the outdoor courts at the Rec Center (Pam, Debbie H., Jackie E., and some very good male players that I didn't quite recognize from a distance) -- was tempted to stop and watch for a while but I didn't.

Pickleball 1:10:00 [3]

Indoors at the Rec Center. Seemed rather warm and muggy inside, based on how cool of a day it had been. Had a number of good games.
