Running (With Hanna) 20:00 [2] 2.01 mi (9:58 / mi) +86ft 9:35 / mi
shoes: Hoka Conquest 2

A bit too warm of a morning for Hanna (low 80's, since I didn't get out real early), but she was acting quite bored, mainly because I'm home alone with her for a few days while Cheryl is in Michigan (along with our son Greg and his son Fred), visiting Cheryl's sister and niece. Hanna had multiple water stops, and seemed to like the run just fine.

Walk/run 12:00 [3]
shoes: Hoka Conquest 2

Stress echo cardiogram. I was put on a treadmill for 12 minutes, not a very fast speed but steep incline, topping out at 16%, when I was going 4.2 mph. The incline was enough to put me into jogging mode. Then as soon as 12 minutes was up, the treadmill came to an abrupt stop and I had to move to the nearby bed as soon as possible, for an echo cardiogram, to compare to the baseline echo test that was done before the treadmill.

Orienteering 44:22 [4] 3.9 mi (11:23 / mi) +217ft 10:48 / mi

Seneca Park Trail Challenge. I started out way too fast, trying to keep some sort of contact with the lead pack. I quickly lost the two top runners, and was running pretty close to Steve from the beginning to #5, then at the start of the next leg. He went through the fence opening which didn't seem like a good idea to me since the control (#6) was on the inside corner of the fence. It turned out well for him because he was able to reach through the fence and punch the control, and then he had an easier route to #7. I met up with him again at #8, and we ran down along the rail-trail to the next fence opening a bit before #9. He passed me soon after that, as I was quickly running out of gas. Then I got passed by a few others -- Mike, Stina, and eventually Zak Borden. We met up with Zak around #18 when he was inexplicably coming from a totally different direction than Mike and I were. They all beat me to #19, but Stina took a different, apparently less efficient, route to the finish and I edged her out. I was 7th out of 12 finishers.

Running 41:19 [0] +62ft

Andrea's run. GPS said 4.2 miles; adjust the mileage to 0 so it wouldn't look like I was racking up the mileage this week.

Running 28:09 [3] 2.5 mi (11:16 / mi) +265ft 10:14 / mi
shoes: NB 410 v5

HJ trail with my daughter Andrea who is visiting for a long weekend, and Hanna. Slightly fewer rest stops than I had to do last Wednesday. Hanna did pretty well, she was very enthusiastic for the first 1.5 miles or so, then needed a few water breaks.

Running 28:50 [0] 0.0 mi +76ft null / mi

Andrea's GPS. Her GPS said 2.52 miles.
