It was nice to have, for a change, a course that didn't go through mud, thick vegetation, or waist-high grass. :)
I had significant trouble with #10. I tried to attack it way too early. I saw a dot knoll but it wasn't the right one. Finally figured out where I needed to go and I found it.
The undergrowth in the 13-14-15 region (mapped as white) was annoying, because it was tough to even walk at a decent pace w/o getting tripped up. Other than that, as I mentioned, it was nice not having to fight vegetation. There were some very steep climbs that had to be done of course.
GPS said 1187 ft of climb but it was obvious looking at the trace that it had some bogus readings, like an elevation of 130 feet when going along Lakeshore Rd (when the elevation of the lake is around 245 feet). My Fitbit said I had 920 ft of climb which may be in the right ballpark.
