Making some progress. My broken right hip seems to be making the most progress. I'm very optimistic that when I go in for a follow-up visit this coming Thursday, the conclusion will be that I'm healing fine and don't need surgery. The progress on the hamstring is a lot slower, but there is certainly progress. It's hard to find a sitting position that is comfortable. Fortunately, lying down is fine and standing (and hobbling gingerly around the house) is OK. There are two major black and blue areas, one right above the knee, the other at the very top of the hamstring.

Out of action for a while. Took a bad fall playing pickleball last Friday. I was hustling for a shot, and I think the chain of events is that I pulled my left hamstring very badly, which caused me to fall, which then resulted in a broken right hip. At this point, there is no surgery needed for the hip. The left hamstring is currently much more annoying (painful) than the right hip.
