| Slipped around on the snowy roads of Fort Frances. Found the curling club, outdoor hockey rinks and ski trails. Felt sluggish. maybe it was the snow. maybe it was the crazy headwind, maybe it was just my lazy butt complaining! | ||

| Checked out The Fort's community centre gym. Have to say that it wasn't terribly exciting. I made use of the limited supplies to do some dumbell rows, weighted squats, bench press, bicep curls, and rotator cuff routine. Wasn't feeling very into it. | ||

| Checked out Kamview in TBay this morning. Nice little spot. Skied the Aspen, Lookout and Beaver trails. I felt a little unsteady at first - the snow was very fast under my freshly waxed skis - but I finally settled in for a nice little training session! Lovely to be skiing again. I love skiing. Did I mention that I love skiing/ | ||

| Fun Time Trial at Stokely Creek Lodge just north of Sault Ste Marie. Conditions were alright - nice and icy fast in some parts, but deeper snow in others that made you feel like your legs were made of lead and that your lungs were about to explode! Terrain was varied with some steep hils, long flat spots, and fast downhills. Beautful sunny day! Went up there with Lawrence, who Classic skied and beat me by about 10min! But, I might have been 1st in the women's skate. Oh yeah, maybe I should mention that I may have been the only female skate skier there.....I would have known how I'd place had I not taken off as soon as I partook in some of the delicious chilli and sausages that they had as part of the post-race celebration. I'll post official results as soon as I get Mr.Foster on the phone. | ||

| Phew! Nasty 1-2-3-2-1 intervals up at Chedoke. Terrain had a dip so we ran down and then up again and then back on a fast flat part. Snow was deep and heavy on the hilly part.
The first interval felt terrible but after that I managed to push hard. Almost felt like I was to the point of losing my lunch! Tried to keep up with Sudden on the last 1min interval, but to no avail.... | ||

| THOMASS Caledon. Once again the fabulous Leaninmal and I teamed up for another great morning of exercise and orienteering domination. Unfortunately, we seemed to have forgotten about the "domination" part of it. We made some silly mistakes which probably taught us a good lesson about route planning but did add some more of the "exercise" component to the day so not all was lost.
Thanks to Bash for a great course, 'Bent for the fabulous organization skills at registration, Crash for some good brownies which I sure were delicious, and the rest of the crowd for great company! | ||

| Spent two hours on the Suppipe bike at the Gears 24 spin-a-thon. It was great fun with all the live entertainment and amazing music and energized crowd!! Managed to push myself fairly hard - especially when good rockin' tunes like a cover of Ramble On by Led Zep and then more awesome songs by a Hip cover band - just can't keep your butt in the seat for those! | ||

| Very tired today. This week and next week at school are crazy crazy busy. I handed in two papers today and have an exam this friday and two next week. Oh, and this is on top of all the regular classwork that is due this week as well....yes, I feel like a lazy bum for not logging many hours, but sometimes a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do. | ||

Luckily I managed to dig deep run out the door before his chattering teeth convinced me to stay. | ||

| Nice easy evening with the TNT Runners, which now apparently need to be distinguished from the TNT Skiers. Runners tonight: Jbird, TVP, Bob, Meridian, Greta, Moi. Skiers tonight: Etoile, Hammer, Zoolander. Who looked much more graceful? Runners. Greta likes to jump on skiers.
Ran the winter rally loop with uneven terrain, patches of deep snow and flat light. Makes for good proprioceptive practice and quick reflexes. Ran back to school via The Long Way. | ||
