Sunday Dec 31

Adventure Racing race 42:00 [3]
Chuck Norris Adventure Challenge For Jerks (The Sequel).

I was lucky enough to be teamed up with Bash for this year's annual CNACFJ. As she so eloquently wrote in her entry, we were sailing along just smoothly....I could visualize the tacky Santa trophy in our hot little hands....and were so close to victory... had it not been for a slight mis-reading of the instructions, and our inability to accurately count the number of driveways along Leanimal's street, we might have usurped Zoolander and La Femme Nickita of their first place finish. Ah, maybe next year!

Bash pretty much sums up the rest of the evening quite well in her entry for this day, so I don't have much to add other than the fact that I've made it a New Year's resolution to work on my fox impersonations so I won't disapoint the ladies on Dec 31st 2007.

Note
Various Paintball Games

With most of the CNACFJ crew, games involved one shooter and others running about like wild prey trying not to get shot.

Time: 60 minutes of actual running time (20 minutes of hiding time??)
Intensity: 4 to 5 (especially when Zoolander, Hansel, or La Femme had the gun) Oh yeah, and I forgot to mention that I accidentally shot Leanimal in the head. Sorry Lee!!!

Friday Dec 29

Note
(sick)
Stuffy nose and tickly throat. Maybe I'll go and take a nap....

Thursday Dec 28

Running 40:00 [2]
Ahhh! Nothing like the first run in four days filled with drinking and eating! Felt alright actually. Kept the pace easy so I wouldn't hurt myself with the added stress on my joints due to the excess weight all that food must have put on. Gotta pack some training in this week to keep up to the rest of the folks in this coming weekend's feats of strength!! :)
C • Thanks for the reminder 1

Tuesday Dec 26

Note
Does 3 hours of Boxing Day shopping with my sister count for anything...?
C • Sure! 2

Monday Dec 25

Note
I'm sure my hand and arm muscles got a wee bit of a workout with all that ripping of wrapping paper...

Lack of sleep and long commute time to my placement this week is catching up....legs are also a tad sore so I'll be putting them up on the end of the couch tonight. :)

Monday Dec 11

Strength (Dragon Boat workout) 40:00 [4]
slept:4.0
After a long, easy weekend of relaxing after our final exams and whooping it up at Zoolander's wedding DB felt pretty good tonight. Actually, only the running part felt good (TNT intervals are paying off...). Strength tonight was a special ScoFo pain circuit: burpees, pushups, mountain climbers, reverse pull-ups, jump squats and reverse pull-ups again. 1 minute each X 3. Then 7 X 1min of various excruciating ab exercises. Barf-o-rama!

Had lots of trouble sleeping last night...
Running intervals 7:07 [4]
High Park loop time trial
Running warm up/down 15:00 [1]

Friday Dec 8

Note
No time for training between writing my final exam and hitting the bars!! :)

Thursday Dec 7

Running warm up/down 20:00 [2]
The usual route from school to meet Bob and then up to Chedoke. But got a ride back today instead of running back for the "cooldown". :)
Running (Trails) 1:00:00 [2]
slept:7.0
Easy run with Bob, Superwes and TVP around Chedoke. Checked out the Escarpment Rally so Bob and I could plan our domination of the female World Records. If only we could run faster than Greta....
Cool windy night.

Wednesday Dec 6

Running (trails/swamps/woods) 45:00 [1]
slept:8.5
Spent some time run/walk exploring the trails near Mac today. Learned that the small trails off the southwest corner of campus lead only to swamplands, secret party locales, and places that like to jump up and wet your feet. Lots of nice deer though. Finally found the South Shore Trail and ran/slipped/bounded along that for a little while (stopped and looked at some birds) until it ended and branched into two smaller trails (more deer!). Took the high route and ended up bushwhacking down to a nice big open trail (another deer here) which landed me on the back field of campus. Did a victory lap of the football field before heading back to IAHS. Glad I got to know the trails near here a bit better, and that I got to see some lovely bambis. I think this run was probably about 5km, but it took me 45min. Good fresh air break from the musty insides of my books.
C • Bambi 12

Tuesday Dec 5

Running intervals 50:00 [5]4 km (12:30 / km)
slept:7.0
TNT nighte with the gang. Beauty night with almost a full moon and glorious glorious snow underfoot.

Main course: Did interval loops on golf course (this did involve some hill!). According to gmaps pedometer, my loop distance was approx 650m. So, 6 X 650m loops with 2min rests.

Desert: 10 X stairs (alternating double and single steps)
C • Late 2
Running warm up/down 40:00 [1]7 km (5:43 / km)
From school to meet Bob and to Chedoke and back. Main route.

Monday Dec 4

Note
(rest day)
Well, didn't make it to DB practice tonight because the truck had a flat and we couldn't get it repaired in time. So Hansel and I went Xmas shopping for ourselves and exercised our wallets instead! Let's call this a rest day...

Sunday Dec 3

Running long (Trails) 1:20:00 [2]
Running with The LeAnimal through HV trails near Bolton. Manged to work out our thighs on some hills, our agility on the twisty trails, our balance on the slippy snow, and our tongues with lots of girl talk!
C • Running with LeAnimal 3

Saturday Dec 2

Running race 21:14 [5]5 km (4:15 / km) vdot: 46.4
Santa Shuffle. From St. Mary's HS on an out-and-back down the rail trail. Not many pepple out, so I was running alone which is always a bit tough. The course seemed a bit slow (according to Jeff who is a very competitive runner. He ran a bit slower than the usual) so I'm trying to tell myself that maybe I could have had a faster time had it not been for the wind, etc. ! Okay, new goal: Break 20min in a 5k!!
C • Lone Bird 1
Running warm up/down 10:00 [3]

Friday Dec 1

Yoga 1:20:00 [2]
Full Happiness routine. Hip flexors and Hammies complained a little, but they needed it!
