| First time doing Storm for me and I have to say that I was very very impressed by the quality of the race from a racecourse perspective as well as from an organizational viewpoint. Excellent job Sean and all of his volunteers! And thanks so much to Pete for putting together the whole MXR deal. What a way the bring the local/provincial AR world up a notch! Hurrah Hurrah Hurrah!
As for Team Salomon XT Wings, we had a pretty good race. Felt strong on our feet and in the boat and had to really push to focus in on our goal. Unfortunately, one fowl swoop into Andy's rear tire and I hit the pavement hard enough to both crack my helmet and my radius (one of my forearm bones). But we finished the race with me mostly riding while only holding on with my left hand through the bumps, or pushing my bike along the really rocky stuff. Also had an epic flat change which probably set some time of speed record, but for being so slow (make sure your spare tubes don't have goles in them too). So the doc at the McMaster ER last night said that I managed to fracture the bone in an unusual zig-zag pattern, but since it wasn't displaced he just splinted it 'till I go for a consult with the ortho doc this week. Hopefully he'll say I'm on the fast track to recovery! | ||

| Adventure Night!
All these times are approximate. It was raining tonight so the trails were kinda muddy and we were all forced to slow it down a bit so we didnt' break our necks! Good turn out though with both some old and new faces in the crowd. This was the sprint course. Had a pretty good run despite a moderate setback at CP 5 where the old map didn't quite match the newer trails in the area. Made me feel better to know that I wasn't the only one to make that mistake. | ||

| Felt completely terrible tonight. Really slow and unable to push. So I listened to my body and just did what I could during our 2min intervals. Brutal. | ||

| Maybe my lethargy and lack of energy is due to stress and lack of sleep. Will keep an eye on this and log more sleep to try and see if there's a pattern | ||
