Ride (road/trail) 1:25:00 [2]
Easy spin around local trails
C • When are you coming home? 3

Monday Mar 26

Ride (mtb) 3:30:00 [3]37 km (5:41 / km)
Just a little ride...in Monachil, Spain! After the "race", we came to this town for the mountain biking. It's basically nestled in at the bottom of some mountains. Great climbs...and hairy singletrack descents. I'll fill you all in when I get home...no doubt you've heard some stories.

Just so you know, Bobby's doing fine.

Here's my ride from this morning more or less. If you turn on the elevation, you get a feel for the climbing around here.

Total time included a 30 minute siesta near the summit. When in Spain...

Sunday Mar 25

Event: Around The Bay 30k Road Race

Saturday Mar 24

Ride (mtb) 3:00:00 [3]30 km (6:00 / km)
Similar to route from the 26th, only with different descent back to town. A little more direct. A little steeper.

Friday Mar 23

Ride (road/trail) 1:45:00 [3]
Checking things out with Bobby.

Thursday Mar 22

Ride (road) 2:00:00 [3]
A little exploratory ride...but there is no such thing as flat around here!

Tuesday Mar 20

Running ("race" kinda...) 9:00:00 [5]
Words cannot describe...

Sunday Mar 18

Event: Bimbache Extrem

Thursday Mar 15

Inline skating 45:00 [3]
Went out for a practice run with the xc poles. Worked great. But I gave the tips a good sharpening after to help prevent slippage.
C • Have Fun in Spain! 1

Tuesday Mar 13

Ride (spinning) 1:00:00 [3]
2 x 20' Hills, then 15 minutes steady spin. Legs feeling a little sluggish at first. Maybe the time change? Maybe still bouncing back up on my peak?
Note
Around the bay - I registered for this race a long time ago, but won't be around for it anymore. If anyone wants to go and regsiter as me and run it with a time chip, they are more than welcome.

Only stipulation is that you must finish in the top 5. ;)

Who's in? Free tshirt...

Sunday Mar 11

Running (snow) 1:00:00 [3]
With Milhouse around Rattlesnake/Crawford Lake. Soft snow footing, but felt good.
Rope Work (Ascending/Rappelling) 3:00:00 [3]
Good to get out for some practice on this before the race. Ended up doing race repeats with Milhouse: Ascend up, switch over, rappel back down. Nothing says safety like racing on ropes, eh? Final results: Hansel 3:23, Milhouse 3:09. I hang my head in shame.

But wait! The judges rule that Hansel gets the "They're his ropes and he set the anchors" 15 second time credit giving me a final time of 3:08. Sorry Milhouse, maybe learn how to tie your shoes properly and then I'll teach you some real knots...

Saturday Mar 10

Ride 1:00:00 [3]
Easy spin.
Note
Climb - Indoor. Felt really strong today.

Friday Mar 9

Running (road) 1:35:00 [3]
Nice easy road run. Felt great.
Ride (spinning) 1:00:00 [3]
Gears.

Wednesday Mar 7

Ride (Spinning) 1:00:00 [3]
Running (road) 45:00 [3]
Yoga 50:00 [3]
Focussed on breathing through the top of my head while hovering 3 inches above the ground. Fan kept blowing me across the room, but good session.
C • the top of your head? sounds l... 6

Tuesday Mar 6

Ride (spinning) 1:00:00 [4]
Leg felt a little heavy at first, but after about 15 minutes felt much better.
Yoga (hokey) 1:00:00 [2]
Instructor was a little bit off her rocker - she kept speaking yogese with no translations, plus she was talking like we were in the woods or something, lots of stuff about roots, branches and leaves - but good stretching and some core work.
C • Yogese? 7
Running (road) 10:00 [3]

Sunday Mar 4

Event: Chilly Half Marathon

Ride (road) 4:20:00 [4]
With Milhouse from my place winding up to the escarment in a nasty headwind. 5x Appleby Line south hill. 2x Appleby Line north hill. 2x Steeles Ave Hill. 1x Bell School Line hill. Then back home in a cruisy tailwind. Great ride. Hard work.
C • ride 6
Running (trail/road) 1:07:00 [3]
shoes: ruby slippers
Post-ride run to see how the legs would feel. Felt not bad for the first 20 minutes, then much better for the last 47.

Saturday Mar 3

XCSki (skating) 4:50:00 [3]
2 hours of working, 1 hour easy, then another 1.5 hard. Felt it in my xcski muscles for sure - not sure what the technical term is for these, but they are apparently not used in any other sport or daily activity.

Friday Mar 2

Ride (spinning) 1:12:00 [5]
One big MF hill.
