long hard race, tough from the beginning, uphill, across the hill and down the hill.
some rock underfoot made it hard work on my tired legs. stuck with it, enjoyed 8-14, then back up the hill, over and down to the finish.
stomach was bothering me early and I was happy to make it to the toilet before things became messy. ugh!!

WRE middle distance race.
had a decent run due, I think, to running the model event yesterday. I enjoyed the course and terrain and the result was nice too. new shoes held up - no blisters.

did 90 out of number 2 and turned it into a 180
decided to stop and check for nearby geocaches - nothing close so I went back to running the course.
checked out the black 'X's along the park boundary. turned out to be survey markers delineating the park. the rest of the course went ok, was a little too careful avoiding climb to 5.

rode MtB back from east end of park. really hammered the park section and backed off once outside. headwind at the end sucked.

used the led-lenser headlamp. plenty of light.
