Orienteering race (sprint) 15:48 [4]*** 2.11 km (7:29 / km) +80m 6:18 / km
spiked:9/12c shoes: TEVA lite
new map near holmes ny, courses and map by bob b, assisted by ed hicks
nice small area, excellent use of the park
few problems following compass. should have just run straight instead of trying to minimize climb
legs feel decent. it's early spring and I am ready to race.
Orienteering race 1:07:38 [3]*** 7.7 km (8:47 / km) +140m 8:03 / km
spiked:16/22c shoes: TEVA lite
red course
some problems with the map scale early on, read a few things wrong, saw some things that were not there, kept going though. great course - kept changing direction and the legs varied in length to allow you to run hard between
dropped my SI card and had to back track - lost about 3 minutes I think
never noticed it fall off as I slipped on a mossy rock and put my hand down to brace the slide, figured that was the likely place to lose it and that's where I found it
bike 1:39:00 [3]22.5 mi (4:23 / mi) +40m 2:43 / km
shoes: Addidas MTB
rail trail in carmel ny, much better place to ride than muddy trails
south to rt 35 I think
