| Post Thanksgiving Score O at Mt. Tom. Did 19 of 22. Navigated well with one major exception at #17. I was searching way too high in the reentrant. Leg injured yesterday was sore but not a major problem. Unseasonably nice weather added to the experiece. |

| Beautiful day for a meet in Ansonia. Still doing all local meets without a compass trying to improve my map reading and get away from the point and pace count method. Really blew 1 and 2 and then settled down and had only minor errors on the rest of the course. Slammed left knee on a rock. |

| Sprint/technical training short course at Ansonia. Again without compass but also in my hurry to get started forgot to take a clue sheet so had no descriptions or control codes to go by. No major errors until the last control when I went southwest instead of southeast and ran right off the map. Saw water towers and realized what I had done. Probably lost 5 mins. Had a nasty fall on the trail run from 5 to 6. Bruised and cut up on my right side from shoulder to knee. Lucky I didn't break anything. |

| At Bigelow Hollow State Park. Woods road to south end of Breakneck Pond - then north along the east shore and south on the west shore. Several detours around beaver activity that flooded the trail or blocked the trail with a downed tree. Slipped into knee deep water about 35 min into the run. |

| Experimental run after dark in Manchester to take advantage of streetlights we don't have in Coventry.Sidewalks around Buckland Hills. Home Depot to DSW and back with a few side trips. Exhaust from all the traffic didn't seem to bother me any more than the wood smoke near home but the exhaust from restaurants like Smoky Bones and Outback was a little distracting. |

| Red course at Sessions Woods. Not too bad. Nice conditions for running. Cool and dry. Maybe 5 minutes of errors mostly due to my choice not to consult a compass. |
