Saturday May 27

rogaine 13:00:00 [3]
SVO Rogaine at Michaux. Perfect weather, hot showers and flush toilets on the plus side. Map sucked. Rich and I had an excellent first seven hours and then we ran into an unmapped game preserve surrounded by 8 to 10 foot chain link fence topped with barbed wire. Ran out of daylight before we could find our way around it and then ran out of brains and energy. Wandered off the map. Took 5 hours to get back to camp. Woke up feeling crappy and decided to head for home early.

Sunday May 21

kayaking 1:30:00 [2]
Willimantic River from Rte. 74 in Willington to north end of Eagleville Pond.

Saturday May 20

trail running 29:50 [4]
Twice around outer loop at Belding.

Wednesday May 17

woods run 32:00 [2]
At sunrise in Comtessa woods. Tricky stream crossings after all the rain. Visibility greatly reduced by growing leaves.
trail running 32:10 [3]
Crandall outer loop.

Sunday May 14

orienteering race 2:47:55 [4]
Billygoat at Macedonia. Great conditions but poor conditioning left me sucking wind on the hill climbs. Time was certainly not my worst for a Billygoat but only because I was a major jockstuffer. Routes taken were remarkably similar to Peter Gagarin's, but so much slower.

Sunday May 7

hiking 2:30:00 [2]
Hike leader for MHC. Coney Rock and Fifty Foot Cliff. Perfect day. A good time was had by all.

Saturday May 6

trail running 40:00 [3]
Coney Rock in Mansfield.

Thursday May 4

trail running 34:00 [4]
Field loop in Comtessa Woods. 4 times around the motorcross course.
