| Natchaug State Forest - From closed entry bridge off Route 198 in Eastford, south on CCC Trail Loop, and then on Natchaug Trail to Orchard Hill Outlook then back north to Beaverdam Marsh on the Natchaug. Tricky footing with mushy snow and melting ice on the trail. Lots of meltwater made for impressive waterfalls on several streams. |

| Five Ponds Meet. Compass free orienteering went well until #13. Spent 51:56 looking for it, finding #14, going back for #13 with no success, then couldn't find #14 again. Gave up and left the "Bermuda Triangle of 13,14,15 to get 16,17 and 18. Good workout in mostly enjoyable forest. |

| Rail trail south from Hop River Rd. to the wrecked bridge just south of Kings Rd. and back. Clear, cold and windy. Cold seems to finally be getting better - just a little coughing. May try a short run tomorrow. |
