| At dusk. Hannah Lane and back in a light rain. Spent a few minutes watching two whitetail bucks grazing in recently mown pasture. Got to within 20 meters of one when a couple in a loud diesel pickup stopped to see what I was doing and spooked the deer. |

| South along the Fenton River from Rt. 44 then up to UConn campus, over Horse Barn Hill and back down to the river. Cows hadn't been fed yet when I walked by so they ran over to the fence and made a racket. MOOOO!! |
