Saturday May 31

orienteering race 2:00:13 [4]
UNO meet at Sargent Center in Peterborough, NH - Blue course by jj.
Rainy off and on, but all in all a fine day in the forest. One nav error on #3. I actually was off the map for a while. May have cost me 4 min. Foot felt ok for most of the run.

Friday May 30

hiking 4:11:30 [3]
Shenipsit Trail from the southern end in Cobalt northeast through the Meshomasic State Forest to the white blazed Mott Hill connector and back. A lot of the trail in this section follows "forest roads" which are actually atv highways. First mosquito problems this year. I'm pretty sure that completes this trail for me.
mountain bike 29:00 [3]
To Highland Park Market and back for trash bags and Ben&Jerry's

Thursday May 29

orienteering 1:41:00 [3]
Ran Sprint 1 and then walked/jogged the planned route of the red/green course. Perfect weather nice, open forest. Surely picked the right week to vacation.

Wednesday May 28

mountain bike 1:45:00 [3]
Home to Valley Falls then rail trail to Bolton Notch and then back home on Rte.44 and some back roads.

Tuesday May 27

orienteering 1:28:00 [2]
Scouting control locations at Crandall with the updated/expanded map. Worked on the sprint course and then went up and over the hill to check out green course possibilities. Raced down the hill and back to the car just ahead of thunderstorm.

Monday May 26

hiking 2:50:00 [3]
In Natchaug State Forest. Mostly bushwhacking around Beaver Dam Marsh. Nice open forest. Several large snake sightings.
mountain bike 40:00 [3]
Gravel roads in Natchaug State Forest after the hike.
