Event: British Orienteering Champs - Relay
 

Good running from Laura and Kim set me off in 3rd and I had a pretty good run (no real misses but a couple of hesitations) to take the win. Congrats to ShUOC for second place and to the entire men's open podium from Sheffield. Didn't push myself as hard as yesterday which was a shame as I could have given some M40s more of a run for their money I guess!

agree with Becks and Kat, rubbish planning and even more rubbish controlling. Fortunately I'd got the game plan right and had decided to absolutely cane it and turn it into a shorter race as 9k wasn't long enough for W21E British Champs. Apart from falling head over heals into the only muddy puddle on the entire map on the way to the first control (i was very lucky the maps were bagged for the 1st time this season...) it worked a treat. Grateful the course wasn't voided though I suspect most agree it should have been.

good warm up but not much afterwards.

rest day, had to buy a new dress for Jaimie's wedding instead!

work and back

jog to Hillsborough park to meet Gareth and Kelly then round a bit and back home to help Oli cook tea.
Feeling sleepy at work all day so skipped intervals - mid week hen dos aren't the best idea!!

nice course on the (closed) moors of the peaks. no smoke in sight.

Girly run from Kim's house pre Jaimie's hen do. Really nice evening at Fine Food and Wines!

just an easy run home from work in the sunshine. cold though.
