Sunday Feb 24

Orienteering race 46:40 [4]
Badge event at Brimham Rocks. Felt good for the first half hour or so then tired somewhat. Drifted off my bearing 7-8 and missed some time on 10 especially but all in all an OK run. 30 seconds behind Grace! (but beat my dad so I'm happy!).

Also met Katie Elise Monro Jones which was very exciting (for me at least - she slept through the occasion)

to the toilets, warm up and warm down. Minimal!

Saturday Feb 23

Cross Country race 28:55 [5]8 km (3:37 / km) +30m 3:33 / km
shoes: XCspikes
115th in the national XC at Alton towers. felt much better in my legs than at the northerns. Quite pleased with the result. Hallamshire women were 7th (1st northern club) but I was in the 2nd team, Lizzie was 52nd despite missing quite a lot of training with her broken ribs recently!

Don't suppose the course was really 8k!

little bit of oing with Lizzie at Surprise View while Vasteras were out doing a lot of training in the wind and rain!

run plus Vasteras from their bunkhouse in Hathersage. Nice evening for it. Think they've settled in OK despite it not exactly being the lap of luxury out there!!

good session with the Oli, Gareth, Ricky, Phil, Hilary, Kim and Hatti though I was a bit rubbish (mainly due to the fact that we were only really trying harder problems), Brian tried to coach me but I wasn't having any of it!

felt good and ran quite well I think apart from some dodgy undertaking (just practicing for Sat!).
