not as badly hungover as I thought I might be!

Saturday Aug 9, 2008 #

Running 1:05:00 [3]

Run on the edge of Kinder with Grace, Kel, Rich and Piret (and Bryn, Nails, Camel, Candyman for a short while). A little bit windy and rainy - almost chickened out in the car park!

Friday Aug 8, 2008 #

Note
(rest day)

nephew visiting!

Thursday Aug 7, 2008 #

Running 15:00 [2]

jogging round Endcliffe Park checking up on controls and competitors at the British Transplant Games.

About a million more helpers than at Cliffhanger and a million fewer competitors!!!

Running intervals 15:00 [5]

Hallamshire hilly intervals in the field by the Admiral Rodney. 7 x 74secs ish with a minute or so recovery whilst Camel did his reps.

Tired so skipped the paarlauf which followed.

Running 45:00 [3]

run from home to clubhouse then out to the admiral rodney (miles!) then home via loxley valley with Bryn and Piret.

Biking 50:00 [1]

work and back

Climbing 15:00 [2]

Stanage with the Candys, Kim and Rich, Hilary, Neil. Did a couple of (very easy - though they didn't feel it) traverses - ages since I've been climbing and even longer since I went anywhere near some rock. Good fun though!

Running race 34:40 [5] 6.58 km (5:16 / km)

Bradwell fell race, 2nd behind Piret. Ran a bit too hard up the hill and had to stop briefly with stomach cramps after Piret overtook me (psychological?!) Recovered and caned the rest to overtake 5 women but over minute down... Good to see an Estonian victory in a peak district fell race though - probably hasn't happened many times.

Al Ward was happy with the international field (though where were the Australians???) but not so happy with the lack of trophy - Craney...

Running warm up/down 15:00 [2]

warm up
no warm down due to my hathersage blister peeling off nicely!
