Orienteering race 39:04 [5]
JK M21E Middle Race; 39:04

Physical, Technical and Mental preparation were perhaps not up to standard, but screw it, orienteering is orienteering, and that was fun!

Made an epic mistake at 12, other than a re-entrant I didn't really know what I was looking for, which doesn't work in those little technical bits. My other 2 mistakes were both on tracks, nice. I guess I wasn't concentrating all that hard. Managed to run to Leith Hill Tower, not on purpose, but it is a very nice tower.

Felt really tired running in terrain.
Jogging warm up/down 15:00 [3]

Event: JK 2008

Jogging 36:00 [2]
ahr:135 max:155
Went for a jog from Paul's in the evening

Thursday Mar 20

Running 40:00 [4]
Went for a run round the Baddeslely Common and Emer Bog. A sign said the path was closed. Signs like that clearly don't apply to me. However I had to turn back when the board-walk over the bog just stopped. I didn't fancy turning into a fossil.
Jogging warm up/down 15:00 [2]
Jogged to gym.
Static Cycling 40:00 [3]
ahr:140 max:161
Tapping it out on the gym bikes, warming up for spinning class.
Static Cycling intervals 1:10:00 [4]
ahr:148 max:180
Spinning class was cancelled, which is a shame, as Chris who takes it is a total legend. He's ridden against Lance Armstrong; respect. Whilst everyone else pussied out and went either home or back up into te gym, I plugged myself into my iPod and did a beasting. Legs pretty tired after that one.

Wednesday Mar 19

Note
(rest day)
Spent most of the day working in KB. Then flew home on a small plane.

Note
(rest day)
Cleaned my room. Found my bottle of Boss that has been missing for ages, I no longer have to rely on my Nokia frangrence tester pack. Not that I'm going to be going out for a while. Next time I hit the floor is probably going to be after my last exam. It'll be devestating though, over 9 on the Richter scale. I have exams on May 7,13,14,15,16. Fun times.

Running tempo 40:00 [4]
Went for a giro d'Meadows tempo run, sticking to the grass/mud. Humans evolved to run, but not on roads. Aim was to run at a nice fast pace, but not maximally. Started off a nice pace, felt comfortable, "this is fun" I thought. Each lap got quicker, not on purpose, but then it got to the point where I wasn't going to let myself post a slower time, so kept the pace up for the last 2.

I was very suprised at my heart rate, not sure why it was that high, I sweat I wasn't trying that hard. Maybe I have forgotten what trying had at running feels like. My HR was higher today than when I was doing my hill intervals. Wierd. I'm not dying though, it was fine this morning when I got up. Some bird totally gave me the eye as well.

Haries banter jog. Round the Seat, up the Bog. Clarky pushed the pace a little bit in the Bog, I just eased back and gave Clemmie the chat. Running is starting to feel like a totally normal thing to do.
