I'm really unfit.

I'm not talking about the "really unfit" people use when actually they are pretty fit but think they are gonna get beat. I'm talking about a Rick Waller - Luciano Pavarotti - Stephen Hawking kind of unfit.

In 2006 I did 33:54 on a really muddy course round the Braids. The other week I did 18:34 for a single lap. The conditions were pretty good and I paced it pretty well considering. AHR 192, Max 203. That equates to something like 38mins for 2 laps. Obviously, that's shit. But I like to look on the positive side of things. I can run, slowly, but I can run. And that is a good start.

I've been thinking about the next year for a while. I started training again at the beginning of September. That gives me 30 weeks until the JK and 45 til the World Students.

The next time-trial will be 28th October.
