Bollinger block. Only the second time I've done this this year. Didn't seem any easier than the last time--not sure how much progress I'm making. Nice day to go out and slog along.
Around the block again--still having trouble getting the stamina to get much further. If toe-lifts are any indication, then left leg is still considerably weaker. Didn't realize it was only 32deg when I went out the door, so probably a bit affected by the weather.
Around the block--some walking. Feet and ankles are sore from all the rocks this past weekend. But generally felt tired all over for some unknown reason. Not a great start for the new training year (after the year off), but its all up from here.
Its been almost exactly a year since the back surgery and my intent was to take a year off to recover--so here we are.
As a last minute thing, ran both days at the Fall Festival A event and did OK. I just can't go in the woods without the competitive juices getting the better of me. Actually, slowing down by necessity seems to have improved my orienteering as the splits suggest I'm losing less time than nearby competitors.
But that might be the last competition for a while, so now I can get back to a focus on getting stronger and faster.
