Orienteering race 1:00:00 [4] ***** 3.26 km (18:24 / km) +95m 16:04 / km
shoes: icebug mr2

Ugly all around. Just couldn't seem to get myself in the right place-- as if my compass was pointing 30deg off or something. Then I really rolled my ankle about 1/3 of the way in and struggled to make it the rest of the way. I don't recall the pain being overwhelming, but perhaps it had an effect on my brain, as it went completely dead by the end (got upside down on the simple run-in to the go control...)

One to forget...

Road Running 55:00 [3] 6.0 mi (9:10 / mi)
shoes: New Balance 740

Bollinger + Lewis Mills rd. Mostly to get my legs back after all the travel the last 10 days. Lots of distance estimation practice--pick a point 50 yds out and then see how close I get (running or walking pace count).

Orienteering 1:47:00 [4] **** 7.9 km (13:33 / km) +190m 12:05 / km
shoes: Montrail Cont. Divide

Reran a red course from last year on FC East. Ran it backwards just for the variety. Pretty good navigation, but legs are feeling it from all the travel and sitting this past week. Cont. Divides don't make good off-trail shoes either. May have to go back to wearing gaitors.
