Orienteering race (Yetar Springs H3) 52:38 [4] *** 6.9 km (7:38 / km)
ahr:174 max:190 shoes: Innov8 Mudroc 280

Forgot my puffer today and boy i remember now why i carry it orienteering all the time. Craig wanted me to start before him so that he could mow me down on the way to the first control. I took off and decided to stay low to avoid climb and have a quick and clean run. Blew 20sec when i hooked into the wrong set of rocks before seeing it further east. Craig came mowing through 200m after control 1 so i put my map down and hung on for dear life. I managed to lose sight of him just as he crested the hill after leaving 2. Struggled up the hill to 3 before enjoying the downhill sprint to 4.

Caught sight of Oscar at 8 which meant i had gained over 3min on him which meant i couldnt let him escape and regain time on me. Had clean run into 9, pulled up 5m short on ten and then nailed 11 before the sprint home.

Finished 3rd behind Craig and John. Highlight of the day was beating both Craig and John on a leg each!! Looking good for the m21s relay team for the aus champs!!
