2 light beers and a realisation i was running late for the ride at the dell meant a quick and sobering ride home!
6 PM

MTB (The Dell) 1:10:00 [3] 15.0 km (4:40 / km)
shoes: Specialized Epic Marathon Car

a ride with a few mates around the lovely trails of Gungin. DEC tried to thwart our plan by doing some burning off but we ignored their advice aka tape and rode around anyway. The trails seem easier at night for some reason. good fun and slightly wet from all the puddles still lying around

9 turned up for the ride and 3 peeled off for the fast group leaving four of us and jon gregg on the mtb preparing for the dwell 100. New guy got on the front straight away and just motored leaving Greg struggling. Needless to say Jon got dropped along challenger pde. I did some work from SAS until caltex where i had caught a group in front. We held that group through to port peach and then we peeled off to stirling hwy.

A couple of efforts up front and then the fast group caught us at the golf course. The four of us stayed together on the first climb and then we dropped the fourth on the second. We regrouped after devils elbow and continued to work past chrsitchurch (no point stopping as we had everyone) and pushed through to dalkeith when we overtook the fast group going extra slow.

Got on the front before udub and held a solid pace all the way through to the sprint line at which point jon greg had been overtaken but had managed to jump on. No sprint contested so i took that one! Hard ride home as the legs were well and truly suffering by now.

CSC man, George and i shared the work load with specialized boy hanging on the back for today's ride.
