Pulled the old TCR off the shelf seeing we are now into winter like weather and after seeing the crash on Saturday figured it was better to crash an old bike rather than a new one.

Checked the radar and saw scatter showers, much like saturday so figured no need for a rain jacket. Whacked on the gillet and walked out the door to rain. Thanks radar. Rode down to dome to discover only Alistair out the front. We took off down safety bay rd and got onto the freeway path only to be presented with a rear flat on Alistair's bike. Changed it and got going again. As we rode we decided to cut the ride short somewhere to take into account the lost time and also the weather. As it was we still averaged over 30km/hr and did over 30km's on the bike so not bad for a shitty morning.

decided to ride to the group ride from home today just to get some extra distance in. Group of 6 today at the shop so that made for a good ride with equal stints out front.

All was going well until Kwinana beach Rd when crossing the second set of rail way tracks when 2 people at the back came down hard. The first guy hit the ground head first and was out cold when we got to him. The second was tangled up in his bike and had a badly bruised hip. I called for an Ambo and within 10min we had an ambo and a ambo chief. By this stage the unconcious rider had come to but he had no idea where he was or what had happened. He kept persisting he was fine and wanted to go home but after showing him his split and ground helmet he was taken off to Fiona Stanley for a checkup. The second guy was checked out nad was sporting a ripper bruise on his hip. Fortunately one of the riders partner turned up with his ute and loaded up the 2 bikes and John .

Finished off the ride slightly more nervous and stunned from what had happened.
