Cruising for a sub-19, then faded in the wind. Not as badly as james though, who got to halfway in 9:15. Got past at 4km and clawed open a 10sec gap, only 7 of which vanished on the sprint. Doubt if that will happen again!

Sprint relay training. Tried to run with the girls & Max, but got dropped off the start then missed 1 - couldn't make myself believe that it was (a) in the nettles an d(b) everyone else had punched and left. After that trying too hard to catch up leading to a series of mistakes - haven't been so shambolic in a sprint for years.

World Association of Veteran Athletes rating. To get the same WAVA age-adjusted rating I had at 40, I need to be running 17:30. Ooops.
