Annual foray into the proper competitive sport of bridge.

Fred, my septagenarian partner, got ill last year and spent time in Ninewells hospital. As an American, it was covered by insurance. Unknown to him, they didn't pay the bill. On arrival at Heathrow he got deported at his own expense back to Philly. Some lawyering later, the bill was paid and back he came. Except the company lied, but the nice border agency let him stay in an approved $700 hotel (at his expense) to sort it out by wifi, as septagenarians are notoriously efficient at doing. It took three days. Thank you Blue Cross, Blue Shield.
