Orienteering race 59:29 [4] 7.6 mi (7:50 / mi)

ESOA champs at Hopetoun. Blue course won by James in 55.05. Nice early on, then a bit of a nettlefest later. Lost a minute on a routechoice leaving the park, and some time stuck in rhodos.

Note

Last year, I won this on M21, notwithstanding taking a housewifely cuffing. Which made me happy, it being a title with a 50 year history. But this year I wasn't allowed to defend the title, so had to skulk off on blue. Boo.

Running warm up/down 25:00 [1] 2.5 mi (10:00 / mi)

Quite a bit of this at Peebles

Running race 16:50 [5] 2.5 mi (6:44 / mi)

East district XC. Lothian B. Glory leg & team donkey.

Knackered before it even began, but in the end quite enjoyed it as I ran steadily on an excellent, dry, hilly course in Peebles. Lost a place to HBT in the first 30sec, then passed Lasswade just after half way to hold position.
