Orienteering 2:00:00 [1] 7.0 mi (17:09 / mi)

(including there and back and an actual run up the hill across the road which looks nice from the path.)

INT training. Too brackeny to be much fun. Compass and pacing practice limping through grot, ho-hum, now I remember why I don't go into the woods in Scotland at this time of year.

Cycling 2:05:00 [3] 30.0 mi (4:10 / mi)

Orienteering 56:00 [2] 3.0 mi (18:40 / mi)

Sprintelope test

Orienteering 50:00 [1] 3.0 mi (16:40 / mi)

KB. Sprintelope test and remap.
On the down side - course was completely unusable due to building work. Hamstring sore as a very sore thing.
On the upside - its as good as a new area for the sprintelope.

Note

Astonishing women's 10k at the olympics. A thing has happened. Probably a bad thing.
(edit When pressed on this)...
Undeniably, the times run by almost all the competitors were unexpectedly quick. Its not reasonable, IMO, to point fingers at the winner. Whatever the thing, it affected everyone. The winning time isn't ridiculous, its about the 10k time you'd expect from a guy who could run a women's world record pace for 5km and marathon.
SO you might make the case that there really aren't many decent women's 10k races on the circuit, certainly not with competent pacemaking. Or you might argue its a really fast track.
The unpalatable negative might be around the removal of testosterone limits.
