Cycling 2:10:00 [3] 3100.0 mi (3 / mi)

Still can't run, but took the opportunity of the JEC-SOL for a bit of scenery, and to visit Britain's most expensive school up the B829, the only B road in the country with no junctions along its length. No danger of getting lost then.

Beyond the dead-end roadsign in Aberfoyle the holiday homes and cottages gradually peter out and suddenly the road surface improves along by Loch Ard. Beyond Kinlochard the road climbs through sunlit forest past Loch Chon and then emerging into the spectacular and primal Glen Arklet with the Arrochar Alps in the background. The road ends at a T-junction, from where a short descent to Stonachlachar takes me down to Loch Katrine, sparkling in the sunshine with a seaplane circling overhead. a short break, then hump back up the hill, along by Loch Arklet and down to Inversnaid on Loch Lomond. The final descent was rough, wet and twisty. The hotel is rather formal pile, and after few minutes at Inversnaid the ferry appeared on the Loch inbound. So off up the hill and back to Aberfoyle.

Legs a little weary after yesterday, but a great little ride.

Running 20:00 [1] 2.0 mi (10:00 / mi)

Errands. library, shop at the end of the road.

Cycling 2:45:00 [3] 46.0 mi (3:35 / mi)

9:45 Group,. Round village. Noticeably easier than the 930s, even if some of the extra time was due to excessive red light breaks. Kept the group together early, but we still dropped some people at Drem. Seemed rude, but I wasn't feeling that strong.

JEC. Controlling last night. All went well. GGs courses proved suitably tricky, one tree looking much like another. Would have liked a few less dqs , including a certain jane but they were warned.
Not being there didn't seem to matter:)

Running 30:00 [2] 3.0 mi (10:00 / mi)

Home via blackford hill. Sore. Heart not in it.

Tuesday Sep 27 #

Cycling 20:00 [3] 5.0 mi (4:00 / mi)

Checking the new tyre was OK. did x1min up Lauder Road, which felt like a session.

Running 22:00 [2] 2.0 mi (11:00 / mi)

In and out, stretching the hamstring, but still tight and sore.
A brief whooshing noise ensued as James arrived home at the sametime as me.
