Orienteering race 53:23 [3] 6.7 mi (7:58 / mi)

Tankersley, blue men. 9/115, 3rd CST.


Race itself was pretty dull, with lots of ibuprofen on board I trundled round a series of paths between brambly pits. Never dared to stretch out, but it wasn't that kind of area anyway. Only one mistake, about -2mins when attacking a pit three times - so close the first time, couldn't bring myself to go back there the second time, then finally got it.

Clive won in 44 :)

Sore, but everything held together,

But we won - hurrah! For the first time in 20 years.

Pretty excited about that, it was my best chance of domestic silverware this year (even if the trophy looks more like the Cathy Smith Diced Carrot Award).
