Running 1:00:00 [2] 6.0 mi (10:00 / mi)

Trundle around Gracemount carrying the O-map looking for map updates. Met some Labour canvassers who had lost their way amid all the latest developments. Couldn't figure out where they wanted to go either.

Orienteering race 53:56 [3] 5.6 mi (9:38 / mi)

Mugdock SOL1 ShBrown 7/21 won by DaveR in 45:34

Surprisingly short course. Wet, slippery and marshy. Very soft underfoot, which meant that I wasn't too nervous about falling over, but also meant falling over a lot. Generally frustrated by inability to get through the terrain, then the last 4 controls in a delightful runnable bit were a remind why/what I love about the sport.

Lost maybe a min at 3, saw the flag decided it was a boulder not a cliff and ran off, another min at 13 where I couldn't read the map and just looked for a flag in the circle, finding the two others before mine.

Orienteering 50:00 [2] 6.0 mi (8:20 / mi)

Very low energy levels today. Trundling first around our nice new area at Almondell, then looking at the North wood across the M8 from Dechmont, which is nice but featureless and awkward to get to. Finally, running around on Dechmonet as james pulled steadily through the field to come 38th in the Schools XC. freddiec in phenomenal form cruising away from the field for a massive win.
